About Us
Dedicated to Serving Low-Income Families

Contentment Place Communities Corporation (CPCC)
Contentment Place Communities Corporation (CPCC) is a volunteer, non-profit board that is focused on affordable housing. CPCC owns Mill Village, a Section 8 Project Based Voucher development in Dedham, Massachusetts. CPCC enjoys a close working relationship with the Dedham Housing Authority, which manages the property, offers Mill Village rental opportunities for those inquiring at the Authority, and administers the Section 8 Project Based Vouchers. Dedicated to serving low-income populations, we aspire to purchase additional rental properties in the southeastern Massachusetts area.
Who We Are
Established in 2021, Contentment Place Community Corporation is a small group of area residents organized to develop, partner and advocate for affordable rental and homeownership opportunities within the Town of Dedham and surrounding area.
We took the name Contentment because in 1636 Dedham founders planned to call their town Contentment. The historical connection and the emotion evoked from having a place to live came together perfectly.

Our Misson
We Are Guided By Core Beliefs
Every family should have a home that is safe, affordable and healthy; and affordable housing in safe neighborhoods enables stability and achievement in life. Accordingly, our mission is to:

-
Expend CPCC funds to expand affordable housing supply and/or sustain existing affordable housing inventory and/or expand accessible housing inventory.

-
Support other public and non-profit organizations in developing residential housing for low- and moderate-income families and individuals, and assist in identifying new residents for existing units.

-
Work with private developers to provide new affordable housing either as private landlords or as landlords subject to Dedham affordable housing by-laws.

-
Manage CPCC-owned properties professionally, with environmentally friendly and sustainable policies. We pledge to work with service agencies that assist seniors aging in place, families needing financial assistance to preserve tenancies, and persons with disabilities who require support to live independently.

-
Advocate for opportunities that expand affordable homeownership and rental opportunities and/or promote Fair Housing.

-
Convert an existing Dedham Housing Authority property currently under HUD Section 18 requirements to a privately owned, 100% affordable property for low-income persons (under 80% AMI) for the next 30 years.
