To allow the greatest enjoyment and safety to all of our residents, CPCC has adopted the following policy regarding barbecue and gas grills:
All grills will be stored outside, and CPCC will have no responsibility whatsoever for damage due to elements, animals, vandalism, theft or improper use.
All outdoor grills must be placed at the back of the unit on solid, level ground and must be a minimum of 10 feet from the building so that there is no danger of accidental injuries or fire to the other residents of the building and the building itself. The grill shall remain on level surface and be used only when secure. Grills should be cool to the touch, and all remnant fire extinguished when returned to their storage area. No grills should be stored until cleaned to avoid the accumulation of grease and food, which may attract rodents, other animals and unsanitary conditions.
Propane tanks should be new and free from defect, leaks and rust. Additionally, propane tanks must be turned off (valve on top of tank turned all the way off) when grill is not in use.
All outdoor grills must be supervised by a responsible adult when in use.
Failure to comply with this policy could result in eviction.
